Other Resources

MAREP is pleased to offer some additional resources for all those on the dementia journey.

This planning framework, developed by the Roundtable on Future Planning for People Affected by Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias, addresses the impact of ADRD on government programs, communities, and Ontario as a whole. The overall aim is to help all those involved in dementia care enhance their effectiveness in supporting people with ADRD and their families and to promote cross-sector linkages and the development of strong partnerships in dementia care.

Living with Hope in the Midst of Change Slideshow

This slideshow was created from the findings of a study exploring the meaning of leisure for persons living with early stage memory loss.  Participants were asked to take photos of objects, people, or places that were meaningful for their leisure.  Research revealed that although the participants experienced a great deal of change in their lives, they also felt hope for the present and future.  The slideshow includes photos taken by participants to present a balanced view of memory loss by highlighting both changes and continued capacities of the participants.  It shows that there is indeed “life after diagnosis”.

Thank you to MAREP and the Alzheimer Society of Canada for assisting with participant recruitment.
