On behalf of MAREP and our partners the Alzheimer Society of Canada, Alzheimer Society of Ontario and the Dementia Advocacy and Support Network International, thank you to everyone who attended and to all those who had a hand in planning and implementing the International A Changing Melody Forum on Saturday March 26th, 2011 at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel.

Travel Subsidy

We have funding available for persons with dementia and their accompanying partner(s) in care to help offset travel, accommodation and registration costs that would otherwise prevent persons with dementia and their accompanying family partner(s) in care from coming to the forum. To apply for a travel subsidy:

Some additional Information:

We also are providing travel subsidies to Alzheimer Society staff or other professionals who assist persons with dementia and their family members in getting to the forum. I'm Still Here ISH Cover

I'm Still Here is a powerful, research-based play that presents a realistic portrayal of the experience of dementia from the perspectives of those living with dementia and their families. The play is performed by actors from ACT II Studio housed at Ryerson University. MAREP hosted a local presentation of I'm Still Here at the Sunshine Centre, Luther Village, Waterloo in April of 2005. The play was a success! A sample from the play is available online.
